“Thanks so much for passing this on. I'm going to get in touch with their HR Manager to let them know this. This is a great example of why we picked a quality provider like Vertical Horizonz be be our training partner for forklift training!”

Height and Safety

I feel compelled to drop you a short email of thanks and to pass on my appreciation in relation to recent dealings we have had with VHG. We recently engaged VHG to deliver Confined spaces and height training courses, on site, here on the Newmarket Viaduct Replacement Project.

Right from the initial contact I made with Phil Hokianga at the Manukau Training Centre - through to subsequent dealings with Fiona Brown, Fiona Scott, and then finally Rick Coburn as our on-site trainer - I am pleased to say that in every case your staff reflected credit on your organisation. Phil Hokianga, as our first contact was the first affirmation that electing to use VHG as our provider for these courses was a good choice.

It was good to renew association (from a previous working life) with Fi’ Brown at a subsequent meeting, and I was particularly impressed with the friendly and professional dealings with Fiona Scott. Please record and pass on our thanks and appreciation – it augurs well for our continued association with VHG throughout this Project.

Thanks and Regards,

I've just completed the fall arrest course with Rick over the last couple of days.
It was definitely one of the best training courses I've ever attended; very informative, relaxed and heaps of fun.

Rick was absolutely brilliant, you'd be very hard pressed to find anyone better.
I'll certainly be recommending his services to my other colleagues.

Thanks again,

I had a debriefing with the trainees that attended a recent fall arrest course delivered by Bruce Mazengarb of Vertical Horizonz Group and the outcome is utterly positive, so there is very little to say. Bruce is a great instructor and the style and substance of his interventions have been very much appreciated by all.

Our expectations, - a full training to NZQA US 15757 + our field particulars taken into consideration, have been reached and even exceeded thanks to Bruce's expertise and background.

His advices, along with Thomas' recommendations, will help AFL to improving its Health and Safety procedures.

So thank you for the quality of the training provided, which is a valuable asset for AFL development.

Kind regards,

“Well Gents, the Fall rescue Course that I attended on Friday10-11-06 left me with a positive Skills and techniques of being able to rescue a person suspended in a Harness after a free fall has occurred. The Course Trainer Andy Tyldesley conducted the whole days training in a very Professional manner; he was very easily understood and serious on the subjects that he was teaching to all the trainees.

The Fall Rescue systems that Andy has developed are Very Basic, easy to use Practical, and work efficiently. The course started with a short introduction in the class then Andy wrote a few important Safety scenarios on the White Board that were discussed among the class, then it was Harnesses on and let the Action begin. The fall arrest gear, devices, and training Facilities were excellent, personally I feel that anyone that does this course would not be disappointed and would be blown away by the whole training exercise.”

You are absolutely correct and this year may even be better for you guys as I’m finding out that not many people who work at height have no idea what Unit 15757 is, even supervisors, which is disappointing.

The reason why I push our staff onto these courses is due to the fact that it’s a MUST, you’re playing with your life when working at height and I want to lead by example to other companies out there. Our staff fully enjoyed everything on the Fall Arrest Course and have such a better understanding which to us means a lot and thank you for this.

John Bain from Aspec Construction has asked me to pass on that his staff who attended the Fall Arrest course in Auckland in May with Yanek said that the course was fantastic! He’s had a number of staff attend our course now and has had nothing but great feedback. He asked me to let you know.

Professional Development

We would like to thank Alan Timms from Vertical Horizonz Group for his excellent work in conducting the Gateway program for the Rodney District Colleges this year. The feed back we have received from the schools has been amazing.

He has been a hit with all of the staff responsible for the gateway courses and the students. So…. On to next year! We would like to book Alan for his first course on February 11th and 12th 2009 if possible. Please advise availability and I will confirm with the schools.

“I recently attended VHG’s Train the trainer course and thought the course was excellent. The two instructors Lisa and Alan made us all feel very welcome when we first arrived.

They continued to be very helpful and informative throughout the course. A great course which I will be recommending”
